What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a high quality concentrated hyaluronic acid serum designed to be injected under the skin to provide moisture, stimulate collagen and elastin production and support the skin’s cellular matrix (called bio-remodelling).
Profhilo is injected into the face, neck or decolletage areas at specific points to allow even spread across the area. The injections are just under the skin and the product spreads over 1-2 days until it is evenly distributed across the entire area. Two to three treatments are required 1 month apart.
Possible Side Effects:
- Injections can be sting but this only lasts a few seconds
- Bruising or bleeding may occur
- Allergy is rare as Profhilo contains very few synthetic chemicals but can occur

We recommend two treatments given 1 month apart to get the full benefits of Profhilo and you should see optimum results from 6-8 weeks.
Often no recovery time is necessary after the treatment, however in some it may take 1-2 days for the product to spread under the skin. There is no swelling with this treatment as the product is very well tolerated, and bruising/bleeding depends on your injector and the client. Our injectors are medical professionals who are fully trained in this procedure so you can be sure you are getting a safe and professional service.
We recommend having two treatments 1 month apart, after which a 6 monthly top up is necessary to maintain the full effect.
While Profhilo is injectable Hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not considered a dermal filler. Profhilo is designed to stimulate collagen and elastin so is termed a ‘bio-remodelling’ product i.e a stimulator rather than a filler.
Profhilo is a versatile product that is suitable for men and women of all skin types, as long as you are over 18 and not pregnant or breastfeeding. However, we think the best results can be seen in clients over 30, as this is when body really starts to dramatically reduce the production of collagen and elastin causing the skin to become lax. It is this skin laxity that we are targeting with Profhilo treatment so naturally those under 30 may not see as much benefit.
The initial treatment of the face is two sessions administered 4 weeks apart. Following this maintenance treatments are required every 6-12 months.
